Jim "Goshawk" Herring

      "Goshawk"

(accipeter gentilis)

Goshawks have short rounded wings and long tails. They fly with several rapid beats and a short glide. They are better adapted to hunting in woodlands than most other hawks. They prefer to strike quickly and in close proximity, and have well deserved the motto of:

"DEATH FROM ABOVE"

To read about Goshawk's exploits and those of my friends, check out the

Biography:

Subject: Jim Herring

Callsigns: "Goshawk", and "Fbychkr": Goshawk callsign is from the Derek Robinson's novel "Goshawk Squadron". "Fbychkr" is the callsign I use in dedication to a good friend, Harry Minton. Harry was a WSP Trooper, and his handle was "FubbyChucker," a play on words after a young man in Morton, WA referred to Harry while Harry was working late night patrolling and talking with the guy on CB radio. The guy asked Harry which trooper he was and when Harry gave his ID number, the guy said: "Oh, you're the chubby fucker!" I use this callsign when I'm not involved with squadron affiliation in the AKA_War Dogs Squadron. I hope to do "Fbychkr" proud.
